Mattia Destro Ready To Join Manchester United If Jose Mourinho Calls Him

Italian striker Mattia Destro has admitted he would consider joining Manchester United if Jose Mourinho comes calling.

The Bologna attacker worked with Mourinho as a youngster at Inter Milan, and could join the red part of Manchester if Jose Mourinho approaches him this summer.

“When I was a youth at Inter, I played with great stars, and working with a coach like Mourinho allowed me to mature a lot,” Destro told Sky Sport Italia (via the Daily Express).

“If Mourinho called me about going to [Manchester] United, if I found myself in that situation, then I would have to think about it.”

The 25-year-old has scored eight goals in 26 appearances in all competitions since joining Bologna from Roma last year.

The Portuguese manager, who is favorite to replace Louis van Gaal at Manchester United next season, is likely to be given a huge transfer kitty, and various Italian press reports are suggesting that the ‘Special One’ has already begun scouting for potential signings for the Red Devils.
