Manchester United have been in pursuit of Paul Pogba for almost a month now, and Jose Mourinho is desperate to sign the young midfielder.
The new United boss is keen to complete the deal as quickly as possible, to avoid a “long struggle” for the player, according to AS.
Real Madrid have reportedly pulled out of the race for Paul Pogba as they were unable to meet Mino Raiola’s requirements. Meanwhile, Manchester United have accepted the transfer fee demand – a record-breaking €120 million for Pogba, and €25 million for Raiola.
Reports also suggest that Paul Pogba will be offered a huge £12 million annual salary for his services, which will make him one of the highest-paid footballers in the world.

Ed Woodward, Manchester United’s executive, has already reached an agreement with the player and is left to broker a deal with Juventus over the record-breaking transfer.
So far, Mourinho has managed to secure the services of Eric Bailly, Zlatan Ibrahimović, and Henrikh Mkhitaryan – and is looking for Pogba to be his fourth and final signing.
Former Arsenal and Barcelona striker, Thierry Henry, said the Pogba has the potential to be “one of the best midfielders in history.”
“Forget about France, I think he can be one of the best midfielders in history,” he said this week. “He has the quality to do that.”
If Jose Mourinho isn’t able to complete the signing of Paul Pogba within the coming weeks, he may opt for another French midfielder.
