Spanish News Agency Marca has recently published a report about Real Madrid and Manchester United’s activity in the transfer market.
The report suggests that Real Madrid have begun pursuing a new player in the transfer market – Andre Gomes, from Valencia. Zidane sees Gomes as a potential partner to Luka Modric, covering for each other in midfield.
Madrid have supposedly tabled a €65 million bid for the Portuguese midfielder. Zidane’s chances of securing the youngster seem increasingly likely, as Valencia are faced with financial fair play regulations, and will require a “significant fiscal adjustment” to meet the criteria.
With Real Madrid out of the running for the signature of Paul Pogba, Manchester United are unrivaled in the race to sign the French International.
Jose Mourinho will be looking to complete the signing of Paul Pogba as early as this week, according to rumours.
Mourinho reportedly knows well about Real Madrid’s persuasive powers, and he also believes Zinedine Zidane is pushing the club to sign Pogba.
It is being said that Zidane has told Real Madrid officials that Paul Pogba is his one and only target this summer.
Marca also state that Mino Raiola (Pogba’s agent) has developed a better relationship with Real Madrid, although Raiola has already sent two of his players to United.
Paul Pogba will now make the crucial choice on whether he would like to leave Italy or not – having just lost the Euro 2016 final with his national side.
The Frenchman’s performances for his club have been outstanding, but he couldn’t help his national side clinch the Euro 2016 trophy.
With Mourinho almost desperate to sign Pogba by the end of the week, the Frenchman will not have much time to think about the decision – although speculation has been going on for almost a month.
