Neymar’s Father Reveals Where He Wants Neymar To Finish His Career

Neymar, a part of the famed MSN trio, signed for Barcelona in the summer of 2015 from Brazilian club Santos, for a fee of €57.1m.

After some investigation by the Spanish authorities, it was discovered that the actual transfer fee was amounting to €86.2m, with Neymar’s parents confirming that they received €40m.

He soon made everyone forget the financial irregularities with his brilliant style of play. The Brazilian scored 136 goals for Santos before moving to Barcelona at the age of 21, a massive tally considering his age.

Despite enjoying tremendous success at the club, the attacker has been linked to a move away from the Catalan club. We may now have an idea where the attacker will finish his club career.

A Brazilian journalist, Mauro Beting, has claimed that Neymar’s father wants the Barcelona superstar to finish his career at Rio de Janeiro-based team Flamengo. He revealed on a TV programme on Fox Sports in Brazil that Neymar Sr. had told him of his wishes during a previous interview.

He said: “Neymar’s father told me during an interview to Playboy player, his dream is that Neymar finish his career at Flamengo. Father’s dream.”

Eduardo Bandeira de Mello, Flamengo’s president, who was present at the same show, added further fuel to the fire by saying Neymar’s father has a good choice, and that he will consider bidding for the Barcelona star some years down the line.

He was quoted as saying: “I guarantee that Neymar’s father has very good taste,” he smiled. “It is best for the career of his son. Who knows if we can not make that possible later.”

The Barcelona star is currently in his home country Brazil, preparing for the upcoming Rio Olympics. The Olympics is the only Fifa organised international tournament that Brazil has never won, and a lot depends on Neymar to change that this time.
