Luke Shaw Diagnosed With Minor Groin Tear

Luke Shaw has been diagnosed with a minor groin tear, and will miss United’s EFL Cup tie tomorrow, but could make it for United’s match against Leicester this weekend.
Luke Shaw was taken off during the 85th minute last Sunday, as Manchester United lost 3-1 away to Watford.
Doctors conducted a scan on the 21-year-old this morning and confirmed that the England International has sustained a minor groin tear. Reports confirm that the injury isn’t too serious, and Manchester United fans can expect to see Shaw back in action as soon as this weekend.
However, Shaw will miss Manchester United’s EFL Cup tie this Wednesday against Northampton.
Jose Mourinho, who criticized Luke Shaw for his performance in Manchester United’s 3-1 loss away to Watford, will have to find another player to fill in the left-back gap.

Marcos Rojo has already been tested in the left-back role this season. The Argentine started during Manchester United’s 1-0 away loss to Feyenoord last week. Matteo Darmian is also another candidate for the position, but the Italian hasn’t yet made an appearance all season.
Luke Shaw has started all of Manchester United’s Premier League games this season. The 21-year-old recently recovered from a nasty leg break injury, but will be hoping to continue his progress as a Manchester United defender.
Jose Mourinho has lost his last three matches in charge of Manchester United, but will be hoping to make things right this Wednesday in the EFL Cup tie.
Manchester United have shown a poor defensive display during their last three matches, and Mourinho will be hoping to experiment with his squad during tomorrow’s cup clash.
