Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis has said that Manchester United‘s Zlatan Ibrahimovic would be his dream signing.

It is not just De Laurentiis, but even Ibrahimovic’s agent – Mino Raiola – spoke about his agent’s love for the city of Naples and that has fueled the speculation about his future at the club. However, Jose Mourinho recently said that he is confident that the Swedish maestro will be staying put for another year, while Ibrahimovic himself claimed that there is no offer on the table from United.

When it comes to Ibrahimovic, it is expected that nothing is certain about his future and with Napoli’s president showing that much of affection, United do have a thing or two to worry about in the summer transfer window.

“My dream signing? I always try to go forward with what I have,” De Laurentiis told Italian journalist Walter Veltroni

“One that I would like, though, is that giant who is at Manchester United now. I had him as a dinner guest in Los Angeles and he’s incredibly nice, even though he always seems angry.

“You know the one I’m talking about, right?”

The 35-year-old has defied all odds this season and has gone on to score 20 goals already. Furthermore, he has been a major driving force for the Devils and has also been a prominent figure in the dressing room and has been a perfect mentor for the players like Martial and Co.

Marcus Rashford spoke about Ibrahimovic’s influence on him and even Mourinho has been very happy with his outcome. Even though United are linked with a number of star names including Antoine Griezmann, keeping Ibrahimovic for at least another year would benefit Manchester United a lot.

All in all, it is safe to say that the Swedish giant has been a revelation at the club and will be no shortage of suitors if he decides to leave, but in all fairness; Man United need Zlatan more than Zlatan need Man United.
