Real Madrid Hold Positive Transfer Talks To Sign Chelsea’s Eden Hazard
Real Madrid have conducted some positive negotiations with Chelsea star Eden Hazard over a potential summer transfer, according to reports in Spain.
Hazard has been linked with a big money move to the Spanish capital for quite some time now, but any such transfer has failed to materialise so far. However, the Belgian international may finally end up making the switch to La Liga in the upcoming summer transfer window, if the latest reports are to be believed.
As per Spanish news outlet Marca, the Los Blancos have begun negotiations with Eden Hazard’s representatives, and the two parties have been involved in some positive initial talks already.
The 26-year-old has been interested in playing under the management of Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane for quite some time now. Back in February 2016, the Chelsea ace even told Belgian newspaper La Gazette (via Express): “I have always appreciated Zidane. I know about him as a player but not so much as a coach, although he has been very successful debut at the Bernabeu.”

And when specifically asked if he would be interested in working with the French legend at Real Madrid, Hazard was quoted as saying: “Yes, of course. When I was little, I watched him on TV and on the internet for hours.”
Zinedine Zidane did make an attempt to lure the talented forward to Real Madrid last summer, but it ended unsuccessfully. However, both Zidane and club president Florentino Perez are more determined than ever to land Hazard this year, and the aforementioned positive initial talks have only worked in their favour.
The report adds that if Hazard does end up joining the La Liga giants at the end of the season, Blues boss Antonio Conte will surely try to secure the services of Real’s out-of-favour midfielder James Rodriguez in return.
