Mbappe had reportedly agreed personal terms with the Spanish giants when Ronaldo was accused of defrauding £13m from Spanish taxman. When Los Blancos got to know about Ronaldo’s intention of joining Manchester United, they simply sped up the business with Monaco to sign Mbappe.
But the talented Frenchman decided not to join Real, after knowing that his idol Cristiano Ronaldo was leaving Bernabeu. The main reason why be backed out of the Real Madrid deal is because his father believed that the 18-year-old would be unable to handle the pressure of trying to replace the legendary goal-scorer at Madrid.
The report further goes on to say that Mbappe expressed his Ronaldo concerns to Real Madrid, and they came up with another plan of selling Gareth Bale to Manchester United, but the Welshman refused to move to England this summer.
