Manchester United hero Roy Keane was not happy with Paul and Florentin Pogba’s brotherly show as he described the act ‘nonsense’ following the Red Devils’ 3-0 victory over St Etienne in the Europa League.

The Pogba brothers were up against each other in a competitive fixture for the very first time on Thursday and could be seen chatting and embracing just before the match.

They were again captured chatting at half-time as the pair walked towards the players’ tunnel.

The footballing world witnessed a very rare glimpse of just how close-knit the Pogba family actually is when brothers Paul and Florentin faced up to one another at Old Trafford.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic grabbed his first hat trick with Manchester United as the hosts beat Saint-Etienne convincingly. But it was the Pogba brothers who attracted most of the attention last night.

When asked by Jacqui Oatley on ITV’s Europa League Highlights show if Paul Pogba chatting to his brother at half-time bothered him, Keane replied: “Yes.

“The boy, Pogba, he’s a bit of a free spirit, a bit of a character. But I think it was a little bit over the top tonight – before the game and at half-time.

“They’ve spoke more tonight than I have to any of my brothers [Denis, Pat and Johnson] in the last five years.

“It’s all a bit strange. I think when the game started they were focused on the game. But all this stuff before and after the game, [it’s] a lot of nonsense – but that’s the modern player, I’m afraid.”

Kean sounds a bit jealous, for me he is too full of himself. #Pogba
