Real Madrid CF is a profession football club based in Madrid, Spain. It was founded in the year 1902 as Madrid Football Club. The word Real (Spanish for Royal) was bestowed upon the club by King Alfonso XIII in 1920, following which the decorated club came to be known as Real Madrid, and the royal crown was added to the club crest. It is currently one of the biggest and most famous football clubs in the entire world.
